Ammat Global Resources is set to be a Gold Partner at the African Energy Week (AEW): Invest in African Energies conference, taking place in Cape Town from September 29 to October 3, 2025. The company’s participation highlights its commitment to transforming Africa’s oil and gas sector and aligns with the event’s core mission to combat energy poverty and accelerate industrialization.

AEW: Invest in African Energies is a key platform for stakeholders across the energy sector, including operators, financiers, and government representatives. It has become “the official place to sign deals in African energy.” For more information on the event, you can visit www.AECWeek.com.

Ambitious Growth Strategy in the Republic of Congo
Central to Ammat Global’s growth is an ambitious exploration and production strategy in the Republic of Congo. The company aims to increase its oil and gas output by 70% over the next five years, primarily targeting its offshore Loango and Zatchi fields. This expansion supports the Republic of Congo’s national goal of increasing oil and gas production to 500,000 barrels per day (bpd).

The strategy includes revamping production platforms and reactivating wells at the Zatchi field, as well as replacing outdated pumps at the Loango field. In 2024, Ammat Global modernized three production platforms at Loango, which helped increase production at both the Loango and Zatchi fields by 75%, from 4,000 bpd to 7,000 bpd.

Ammat Global’s plan for Congo also focuses on infrastructure modernization and gas utilization. The company is maximizing production and using gas for self-consumption by its turbogenerators from the Loango field. This aligns with the Republic of Congo’s goal to double its power generation capacity to 1,500 MW by 2030 by leveraging its 10 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves. This strategy also places the company at the forefront of the country’s new Gas Master Plan, which focuses on infrastructure expansion and sustainable economic growth.

The AEW 2025 conference will highlight the contributions of companies like Ammat Global and their role in promoting sustainable development and long-term value in Africa’s energy sector. The event will also provide a valuable opportunity for firms to explore new investment prospects across the continent.
