Asiacell Selects Ericsson Services for Iraq

Asiacell has selected Ericsson services and solutions to expand its network coverage and enhance the end-user experience in Iraq. Signed on July 11, 2019, the agreement presents a continuation of a long-term partnership to enhance Asiacell’s network performance across the country.  This agreement builds on previous success in network performance in western Iraq provinces which resulted in improved network coverage and end-user experience while solidifying customer loyalty.
Under this agreement, Ericsson will provide network design and optimization as well as expansion services, using state-of-the-art tools and expertise to deliver the best user experience to Asiacell’s customers and ensure efficient handling of traffic during mass events.  Ericsson’s services and network solutions meet the challenges of today’s multi-channel, multi-platform world by delivering top network performance and coverage for superior customer experience. Ericsson will also offer round-the-clock network monitoring, problem restoration, and performance enhancement services.

Ericsson’s state-of-the-art Network Design and Optimization solutions, part of its Managed Services offering, blend existing know-how from multiple complex engagements with next-generation Artificial Intelligence and Automation with the aim of maximizing the end-user experience in service provider’s networks. The agreement was signed at a dedicated technology event by Ericsson and Asiacell at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Slemani, Iraq – showcasing innovative demos that are pushing the limits of mobile network technology, particularly in the fields of AI, 5G and cloud.
