The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Class 10 board examination results for 2026, with students able to access their scorecards through multiple digital platforms, including the official results portal, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app.

Students can check their results by visiting the CBSE websites such as https://cbseresults.nic.in/, or by logging into DigiLocker using their credentials to download verified digital marksheets. The UMANG app also provides a seamless alternative, ensuring access even during heavy website traffic.

In addition to online access, CBSE has enabled offline methods such as SMS and IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System), allowing students to retrieve their scores without internet connectivity if needed.

Special Context for UAE and Middle East Students
This year’s results carry added significance for students in the UAE and across the Middle East. Due to the regional security situation linked to the Iran–Israel–US conflict, CBSE cancelled several scheduled board examinations in March 2026.

To address the disruption, the board implemented a special assessment scheme. Students who missed exams had their marks calculated using a formula based on their best-performing subjects—for example, averaging top scores to fill in missing papers.

Over 13,000 CBSE-affiliated students in the UAE were affected by this decision, making the 2026 results notably different from a typical academic year.

Results Are Provisional This Year
Importantly, CBSE has clarified that the current results are provisional. Under a newly introduced two-phase examination system, students can opt to sit for improvement exams in selected subjects to boost their scores.

The final mark sheet will reflect the best performance across attempts, meaning rankings or “toppers” are not being formally announced at this stage due to potential score changes after the second exam cycle.

What Students Should Do Next
Students are advised to:

  • Download and securely store their digital marksheets via DigiLocker
  • Verify personal and subject details carefully
  • Decide whether to apply for improvement exams once the window opens

With Grade 11 classes already underway in many UAE schools, students may need to balance ongoing studies with preparation for improvement exams if they choose to reappear.
