Sharjah Civil Defence has publicly recognized and honored three brave men for their swift and courageous actions in supporting fire crews during two distinct fire incidents. Colonel Youssef Obaid Al-Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, extended his gratitude to these individuals for their invaluable intervention in preventing the further spread of the blazes.
In one particular incident at an industrial site within Sharjah, a resident utilized his personal crane to aid Sharjah Civil Defence teams in controlling a fire that had erupted in a waste transport vehicle. The authorities highlighted that his immediate assistance was instrumental in enabling firefighters to extinguish the fire in record time, with no reported injuries.
Separately, during another incident involving a waste transport vehicle, two citizens demonstrated remarkable presence of mind. They quickly removed the burning materials and promptly alerted the authorities. Furthermore, they actively engaged in controlling the situation by using water and fire extinguishers until the arrival of the fire service. Officials noted that their proactive efforts significantly minimized the damage.
Sharjah Civil Defence emphasized that the bravery displayed by these men exemplifies a profound spirit of social responsibility and encouraged the cultivation of such community partnerships in safeguarding public safety.
