Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X was reportedly arrested and hospitalized early Thursday after being found wandering the streets in Los Angeles, according to multiple news sources.
The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was allegedly spotted around 4 a.m. on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, wearing only underwear and cowboy boots. Police responded to reports of a man walking in the middle of the road and acting erratically.
According to police statements, the individual charged at officers upon their arrival and was then taken into custody. He was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation for a “possible overdose” and was later arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer.
While police have not officially released the suspect’s name, several news outlets have identified the individual as Lil Nas X. His representatives have not yet commented on the incident.
