Hyundai Motor Company announced today a significant enhancement to its in-car navigation systems with the integration of Google Places. This update aims to provide a smarter and more powerful navigation experience for Hyundai customers.

The integration of Google Places will be available in all Hyundai vehicles equipped with the ccNC infotainment system and the latest software update. This includes models such as the KONA, new SANTA FE, new TUCSON, new IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, and IONIQ 9. The rollout of this feature began in June 2025, extending even to vehicles already sold to customers.

Google Places expands the navigation options with a comprehensive address database of numerous points of interest , offering over 200 million locations. Users will benefit from additional information like opening hours, descriptions, and photos. The system also boasts user-friendly address entry through powerful autocomplete and an improved free text search, allowing for faster and more intuitive input. Furthermore, Google Points of Interest will provide detailed descriptions, ratings, filters, and brand lists to simplify the discovery of restaurants, attractions, and businesses.

This integration represents the latest optimization in Hyundai’s continuous effort to improve comfort and user experience in its vehicles. The partnership between Hyundai and Google has been expanding in recent years, with both companies intending to continue their cooperation to offer next-generation navigation and infotainment experiences.
